Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate a patient's history and needs, developing tailored treatment approaches.

  • Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, aiming for resilience and overall mental well-being.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process their trauma, strengthen coping strategies, and foster a sense of healing.

  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating quick and effective responses to patient needs.

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to reinforce their support network.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical guidelines while using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient management.

  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with trauma care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients who are trauma survivors, requiring specialized care that accounts for the complexities of their experiences. You'll work with a diverse population, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The goal is to provide them with the tools and therapies necessary for recovery, resilience, and reintegration into daily life.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, LPC/MHSP, LP, or LMFT in the state.

  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, embodying a compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.

  • The ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress scenarios.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
