Job DescriptionRole Overview:
This position is responsible for safely collecting samples of crushed stone, aggregate, sand, gravel, asphalt, or concrete to test for compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.Schedule:
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely and accurately perform laboratory testing on various materials, including aggregate, asphalt, and concrete.
  2. Collect and label material samples; compile and analyze statistical data from test results.
  3. Conduct tests such as gradations, incinerations, rice tests, Marshall tests, percentage crushed, and others.
  4. Evaluate data to determine material quality against specifications.
  5. Recommend alternative actions based on findings.
  6. Perform basic arithmetic to support reporting and decision-making.
  7. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
  8. Conduct daily housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  9. Inspect in-process and finished materials for quality compliance.
  10. Communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—even in high-stress or challenging situations. Maintain a team-oriented, respectful attitude and positive customer relations.
  11. Ensure all activities comply with OSHA, EPA, and other safety and environmental regulations.
  12. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record per company policy.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications.
