Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders.
- Work in a hybrid model, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Provide individual and group therapy to patients.
- Prescribe and monitor medications as necessary.
- Keep detailed records of patient visits and progress.
- Assist in creating individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health and emotional disorders.
- Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives.
Qualifications
- At least 12 months of experience post-licensure in a psychiatric clinical setting.
- Master’s degree in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Nursing.
- Board Certification from ANCC or AANP.
- Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (depending on clinic location).
- Active DEA registration in the state where you will be prescribing (based on clinic location).
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of mental health and emotional disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR): Must have demonstrated experience in effectively using EHR systems to manage patient data, document clinical information, and access patient histories. Familiarity with NextGen is highly desirable.
- Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in various software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot common issues.
