Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders.
• Work in a hybrid model, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
• Provide individual and group therapy to patients.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as necessary.
• Keep detailed records of patient visits and progress.
• Assist in creating individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health and emotional disorders.
• Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of experience post-licensure in a psychiatric clinical setting.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Nursing.
• Board Certification from ANCC or AANP.
• Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (depending on clinic location).
• Active DEA registration in the state where you will be prescribing (based on clinic location).
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of mental health and emotional disorders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR): Must have demonstrated experience in effectively using EHR systems to manage patient data, document clinical information, and access patient histories. Familiarity with NextGen is highly desirable.
• Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in various software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot common issues.
