Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician II will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and packaging processes. Responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities used to produce and package dietary supplements. The Maintenance Technician II will troubleshoot issues, address breakdowns, and maintain a proactive approach to equipment upkeep.


Schedule: Monday Thursday 5:30AM-4:00PM or Monday Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM (ability to be flexible



Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment, including blenders, tablet presses, encapsulators, capsule polishers, scales etc.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and conduct preventive maintenance on packaging equipment, including labelers, cappers, heat sealers, unscramblers, channel counters, conveyors etc.
  • Conduct facility preventative maintenance and repairs, including filters, lighting, drywall, doors, basic plumbing and electrical etc.
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete emergency repairs. Communicate equipment status with operators, leads and managers.
  • Clean, inspect, repair and store production tooling sets. Notify lead of inspection findings and investigate root causes.
  • Maintain a clean work area; keep organized and audit ready at all times. Complete master clean tasks as assigned.
  • Use Redzone to respond to senses, actions and work orders. Keep records and communicate with other departments as needed.
  • Participate in company huddles, respond to action items, and share information with maintenance team as necessary.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welder and/or lathe to fabricate parts for equipment repairs and modifications.
  • Assist in root cause analysis, breakdown investigations and in suggesting corrective and preventative actions as required.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all company policies to ensure safety and quality.
  • Assist with machine setups and train operators and leads on equipment best practices.
  • Use knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components to properly maintain manufacturing equipment.
  • Practice good communication skills and be a team player.
  • Set personal goals and track progress. Seek out training and growth opportunities.

  • Must take part in special/big projects as assigned.
  • Understand and follow the organization's health and safety policies.
  • Participate in the Occupational, Health and Safety training sessions to ensure understanding of the EHS policies.
  • Identify any incidents and potential hazards in the workplace and reportthem to the people leader.
  • Use personal protectiveequipment as required and maintain in good condition.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace to prevent accidents and health hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned


Work Experience and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. Associate degree or trade certification preferred.
  • 2-4 years mechanical or maintenance experience required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment a plus. (Not Required)
