Starting at $16.00–$19.60/hr (CNA or NADSP certified: $17.00-$20.90!)

At Skills of Central PA, our Direct Support Professionals provide true hands-on care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is NOT just companion care or housekeeping—it is direct personal care, including toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support, medication administration, and daily living assistance.

⭐ Open Full-Time Positions:
- Altoona: Evening position (2p-10p) w/ weekend rotation
- Altoona: Evening position (3p-11p) w/ weekend rotation
- Altoona: Evening position (4p-12a) w/ weekend rotation
- Altoona: Awake Overnight position (12a-8a) w/ weekend rotation
- Altoona: Awake Overnight position (10p-10a/11p-7a) w/ weekend rotation (11p-7a)
- Duncansville: Awake Overnight position (11p-7a) w/ weekend rotation
- Hollidaysburg: Evening position (4p-12a) w/ weekend rotation
We have part-time positions available on first/daylight, second/evening and third/overnight (awake) shifts. We offer differentials for evening and overnight shifts and weekend hours worked from $0.40/hr to $1.25/hr.
⭐ What You’ll Do
As a DSP, you will:
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect (bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, grooming, hygiene support)
- Administer medications after paid training & certification
- Support people with daily routines, skill-building, independence, and community involvement
- Cook, clean, assist with household tasks, and maintain a safe home environment
- Plan and enjoy fun activities, outings, and meaningful social experiences
- Drive individuals to appointments and community events
- Document care and progress using basic computer systems
