Position Overview
The Technical Specialist I is an entry-level role ideal for individuals with a background or interest in IT, security systems, or technical troubleshooting. This position is responsible for performing remote diagnostics, supporting field technicians, and ensuring timely and accurate resolution of equipment issues. The role involves regular interaction with customers and requires a working knowledge of the components.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform remote diagnostics and assist in troubleshooting technical equipment failures
- Support field technicians by providing timely and accurate technical guidance
- Coordinate and assist in scheduling appropriate resources for break/fix service needs
- Communicate equipment issues to senior management when systems cannot be repaired or fall outside normal operating standards
- Provide basic technical support to customers and answer questions related to system components and functionality
- Maintain documentation of service activities and troubleshooting efforts
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of IT systems, security systems, or automated equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and technical issues
- Familiarity with networking or camera systems is a plus
- Experience working with low voltage systems preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and customer
