Salary range: $83,000 - $93,000 per year, Full-Time, 40 hours, Monday - Friday
As Director, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the organization while leading and supporting members of our administrative team, our system affiliated educators and collaborating with parents to ensure a positive and enriching child care experience for all involved.
You will lead the Family Child Care System's Administrative Team and have the authority for day-to-day operating decisions while working in partnership with the Executive Director. The Director's particular focus is to ensure compliance with EEC standards for its' state contracts, its' overall program administration and family child care educator licensing. You must enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. You are professional, self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, can prioritize tasks and have exceptional time management skills. You work well independently, as well as part of a team. You are motivated to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and sub-contracted family child care educators. You possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a passion for nurturing children and their families.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director and will assist in key administrative functions including budget and fiscal planning, state billing, strategic planning, team building and community and family engagement.
Responsibilities Include:
Oversees all aspects of program operations and implements program policies ensuring compliance with EEC guidelines, policies and procedures.
Oversees waitlist and referral systems to ensure maximum state contract utilization and enrollment
Monitors subsidy expirations and oversees & assists with the financial assistance subsidy renewal process with families.
Prepares State Contract and Voucher Management Contract renewals.
Assists Executive Director with fiscal management; budgeting, financial statements, bill pay, payroll and provider re-imbursements.
Participates in the recruitment, hiring and training process for new staff.
Supports all members of the administrative team and fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assists with the supervisory responsibilities of the administrative team.
Directs the Recruitment, Home Study Process and Orientation for prospective new FCC Educators
Conducts annual Contract renewals with System affiliated sub-contracted FCC Educators
Monitors to ensure FCC Educator compliance with EEC licensing regulations.
Processes Time Off Requests for FCC Educators and Manages Substitute Care planning for children, with occasional emergency phone coverage.
Establishes and maintains positive and productive relationships with Parents and FCC Educators.
Acts as a relationship facilitator/mediator between Parents and FCC Educators, helping to resolve conflicts.
Maintains proper program records, parent-child and educator files
Convenes & Facilitates weekly staff meetings.
Represent program within the community and attends various EEC and interagency meetings/events.
Leads Semi-Annual Provider and Parent Advisory Groups.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Social Work or a related field PLUS a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Administrative or Supervisory Role in an EEC licensed program. EEC Director I or Director II certification is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish speaker is desirable.
A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required for occasional travel. Knowledge of EEC's Child Care Financial Assistance System is a plus.
