Lead Emergency Communications Supervisor

Job Summary
A public safety agency in Washington, DC is seeking a Lead Emergency Communications Supervisor to manage personnel, operations, and systems within a PSAP/ECC. This role supports daily operational continuity and high-quality emergency response services.
Essential Functions
- Oversee communications personnel during assigned shifts
- Evaluate staffing needs and assign resources appropriately
- Review shift activity and operational performance reports
- Ensure compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate quality assurance and operational improvement efforts
- Utilize and support CAD, radio, and telephony systems
- Provide leadership and direction during emergency situations
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years of experience in emergency communications
- Prior lead or supervisory experience
- Completion of 911 call taking and dispatch training
Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of PSAP/ECC operations and E-911 technology
- Ability to effectively supervise and evaluate staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage stress and make sound decisions during emergencies
