Job Description
The Handyman will maintain residential properties, commercial properties, multi-site facilities, and mixed properties. Reporting to the property manager, facilities manager, or maintenance supervisor, this role handles routine repairs, renovation projects, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs, with frequent local travel between work sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance repairs, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and electrical repairs.
- Complete painting and drywall repairs.
- Install and repair fixtures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues across multiple properties and facilities.
- Respond to routine, renovation, preventive maintenance, and emergency repair projects.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain clean and orderly worksites.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in residential and commercial maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems knowledge.
- Experience with drywall repair and painting techniques.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong safety awareness.
