Overview:
Located in the Washington DC Area, our company is dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees, clients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floors, dusting and cleaning furniture, cleaning windows and mirrors, and sanitizing surfaces
- Stocking: Replenishing cleaning and maintenance supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas, and replacing trash can liners
- Organizing: Maintaining clean, organized, and safe janitor closets and storage areas
- Maintaining: Performing routine maintenance activities, such as fixing leaky taps, replacing light bulbs, and unclogging drains
- Notifying: Reporting unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance to supervisors
- Charting: Maintaining a cleaning chart that indicates areas that were cleaned and inspected
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a janitor or cleaner
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to handle basic maintenance and repair tasks
- Strong attention to detail - Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
