Pay Rate

• Salary Range:

  • Under 1 year: $29.56 – $31.04/hr

  • 2–3 years: $32.52/hr

  • 4–5 years: $33.99/hr

  • 6–7 years: $35.47/hr

  • 9–10+ years: $36.95/hr

  • 12+ years: $40.65/hr

• Shift Differentials: Night Diff: $3.00/hr (No weekend differential at this location)

• Sign-On Bonus: No Sign-on

• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Certificate Program completion in Respiratory Care

• Active Florida State Respiratory Therapist License (Open to CRT or RRT; willing to train new grads)

• National credential from NBRC (CRT or RRT)

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of hire

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 90 days of hire

• Candidates must demonstrate strong passion for respiratory care, clinical adaptability, and positive cultural fit

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive clinical assessments, including airway patency, breath sounds, and cuff pressure monitoring

• Administer diagnostic evaluations and specialized therapeutic procedures (oxygen delivery, aerosol medication administration, and chest physiotherapy)

• Assist with the placement of artificial airways; initiate, manage, and titrate invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation

• Continuously evaluate therapeutic responses, intervening promptly and reporting adverse developments to medical providers

• Respond rapidly to emergency resuscitation events, code blues, and trauma activations, maintaining patent airways and ventilation

• Facilitate safe clinical transport of ventilator-dependent and high-acuity respiratory patients throughout the facility

• Document all diagnostic data, treatment modalities, and patient responses accurately in the medical record

Additional Position Details

• Facility Size: 267 Beds (Level II Trauma Center, Open-Heart Surgery Program, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Cancer Care Center)

• Department Scope: Main ER, Pediatric ER, two Freestanding ERs, and Intensive Care Units

• Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Director of Respiratory Therapy

• Experience Level: Open to all experience levels, including licensed CRT, RRT, and motivated new graduates ready for hands-on acute care training
