Paralegal/Legal Secretary
Location: Downtown Oakland, CA
Salary: Up to $40 per hour
Job Type: Contract to Hire, Onsite, Full-Time
LHH is working with a boutique litigation firm in Downtown Oakland dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. Their team thrives on collaboration, precision, and delivering results for our clients. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal/Legal Secretary to join in a Contract to Hire capacity.
Key Responsibilities:

Document Creation and Finalization: Prepare discovery shells, tables, and transmittal letters. Proofread and cite-check legal documents. Assemble declarations, exhibits, and manage filings and service.

Document Management: Assist with document reviews and productions. Search databases and organize documents for depositions, hearings, and trials.

Case Intake and Management: Gather and organize information from clients. Update clients on case progress and maintain case files. Track and monitor case filings.

Attorney Assistance: Schedule and set up conference calls and video meetings. Communicate with court personnel as needed. Assist in creating PowerPoints and demonstrative aids. Help attorneys prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Qualifications:

Paralegal Certificate.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a litigation setting.

Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, PACER).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to various software applications.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
