Job Description
About Us
Peck Trial Attorneys has recovered over $25 million for injured clients and won more than 1,000 cases since 2022 when we opened. We're a 12-person boutique firm at 77 Franklin Street handling motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian collisions, construction injuries, premises liability, and wrongful death — and we try cases.
Our approach is straightforward: build the strongest possible case before the insurance company can mount a defense. That means moving fast, working closely with medical experts, and making sure every client's full story gets told. More than half of our clients are Spanish-speaking immigrants navigating the U.S. legal system for the first time. Accessibility and clear communication aren't values we post on a wall — they're how we work every day.
Everyone on this team contributes to case strategy. Paralegals here aren't support staff. They're the backbone of the litigation process.
The Role
We're hiring an experienced litigation paralegal to take real ownership of active cases and work directly with attorneys from intake through resolution. The right person doesn't wait to be told what comes next. They see what needs to happen and make it happen.
What You'll Own
- Draft, serve, and respond to written discovery — interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission
- Manage case files from filing through resolution: records, documents, client communication, provider coordination
- Own the litigation calendar — deadlines don't slip
- Prepare exhibits, binders, and materials for depositions and trial
- Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
- Support attorneys on trial prep and day-to-day case strategy
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience; personal injury or insurance defense strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage discovery across multiple active cases
- Working knowledge of Massachusetts civil procedure and Superior/District Court filing requirements
- Tight written communication — your drafts are accurate and professional out of the gate
- Proficiency with legal document management and litigation software
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
- Spanish fluency is a plus, not a requirement
Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience
- Health insurance
- Three weeks paid time off
