Help keep airport baggage belts, motors, and carousels running smoothly. You’ll do basic mechanical checks, simple repairs, cleaning, and assist senior techs with bigger fixes. This is a hands‑on job with steady training and room to grow.
What You’ll Do
- Check belts, motors, and carousels to make sure they’re running correctly.
- Clean conveyors, remove debris, and keep equipment areas clear.
- Help senior technicians with repairs and emergency calls.
- Replace simple parts like belts, covers, and bearings under supervision.
- Clear baggage jams safely and reset equipment.
- Use hand tools to make small adjustments.
- Report issues and updates to the maintenance team.
- Follow all safety rules and wear proper PPE.
- Attend training and learn new mechanical skills.
What You Need
- 1 year of mechanical or hands‑on work experience (auto, warehouse, maintenance, etc.).
- Ability to use basic hand tools safely.
- Willingness to learn mechanical and electrical basics.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and airport badging.
- Good communication and ability to follow instructions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with preventive maintenance or industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with conveyors or automated systems.
- Interest in mechanical work or troubleshooting.

Work Environment
You work on-site in an active airport environment around moving equipment, baggage handling systems, and electrical components. The role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day, often in small, high, dirty, or hot spaces. You must remain constantly aware of moving machinery and areas where electricity is present, and consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment. The position involves physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, while working in and around conveyor systems and related industrial equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
