United Install Group has an opening for a Cable Technician in the Huntsville, AL area. We service WOW customers with their triple-play services - internet, video, and phone.
This is a full-time 1099 position with a typical schedule covering 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. shifts. The job pays piece rate, with the average experienced tech earning $1000/wk, and more experienced techs can earn closer to $1500/wk. Pay schedule is net-21 with weekly pay.
This is a physical job, and you must be able to work in all weather conditions, scale and carry a 28' ladder, and work in attics and crawl spaces. This job also requires someone with A+ customer service skills. Cox Communications grades the technicians on a metric scale that you must be able to maintain compliance month-over-month.
We do offer a training program up to 3 weeks, so entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply. If you're interested in breaking into this industry as a Cable Technician, please allow yourself at least 6 months to get to the above "average experienced tech".
