Position Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment through the facility. This role performs cleaning interior and exterior perimeters, break areas, restrooms, plant area and other assigned areas to ensure a comfortable and sanity workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and other interior areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners
- Refill paper products, soap dispensers, and other supplies as needed
- Running floor sweeper
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- May assist in setting up or cleaning after events or meetings as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Clean and maintain the exterior perimeter of the facility, including:
- Sweeping sidewalks, entrances, and parking lot areas
- Removing litter, debris, and leaves from outdoor areas
- Cleaning exterior windows and doors
- Monitoring and clearing snow or ice during winter months, if applicable
Hours: 7am - 3pm, Monday-Friday
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Forklift knowledge
- Bilingual Preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of janitorial or custodial experience
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors
- Good attention to detail and time management skills
