Job Description

Job DescriptionBS Engineering to support project engineering and project management for emissions‑control and environmental upgrade projects across midstream oil & gas facilities. The role combines technical design support, permitting coordination, contractor oversight, cost/schedule tracking, and stakeholder communication to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery of emissions reduction initiatives.Key responsibilities:

  • Support engineering design and specification development for emissions control systems (e.g., flares, vapor recovery, low‑NOx burners, scrubbers, sealing/abatement technologies).
  • Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for small-to-medium capital projects and upgrades.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, P&IDs, datasheets, and material requisitions.
  • Manage contractors and vendors: scope reviews, bids, technical evaluations, work execution oversight and punch lists.
  • Coordinate environmental permitting and regulatory compliance activities with internal EHS and external agencies.
  • Perform site assessments, field inspections, commissioning support, and performance verification/testing.
  • Track project budgets, change orders, progress reports, and closeout documentation.
  • Communicate with operations, maintenance, and stakeholders to minimize operational impacts and ensure safe execution.
  • Support HAZOPs, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to company safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Petroleum Engineering (or closely related field).
  • 5+ years engineering experience with energy industry projects. An added advantage would be having experience working in oil & gas, midstream, or industrial emissions projects.
  • Familiarity with emissions control technologies and relevant environmental/regulatory requirements (EPA, state/local air quality standards).
  • Project engineering experience: scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, contractor coordination.
  • Proficient with engineering tools: AutoCAD/Plant 3D or similar, Microsoft Project, Excel; familiarity with P&ID review.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce technical documents and present to stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites and work in industrial environments; valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure.
  • Experience with permitting (Title V, minor source permits, NSPS/NESHAP) or environmental compliance programs.
  • Construction management experience and familiarity with commissioning and start‑up of emissions control equipment.
