We are looking for a skilled Cloud System Administrator to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky! In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and cybersecurity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments, implement advanced technologies, and ensure robust system functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze system performance to ensure stability and address any error messages or outages promptly.
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of IT systems, including servers, networks, databases, and software applications.
- Design and enhance cloud infrastructure to ensure high redundancy and security.
- Configure and manage Cloudflare settings to optimize website performance and strengthen security measures.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate Cloudflare solutions into web applications seamlessly.
- Implement and enforce company security policies, conducting periodic compliance audits and assessments.
- Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting IT infrastructure issues and resolving them efficiently.
- Configure and deploy firewalls, routers, switches, and servers within the company’s infrastructure.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends, recommending updates to the technology stack.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support and perform necessary checklist activities during emergencies.
- Proven experience in IT system administration for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, database management, and IT security best practices.
- Proficiency with tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, AWS technologies, Ansible, and Atlassian Jira.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory deployment, Group Policy management, and enterprise backup solutions.
- Familiarity with configuring Cisco network hardware and enterprise mobile manager solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure while maintaining clear communication.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell or PowerCLI, and enterprise monitoring tools like Nagios or SolarWinds.
- Experience supporting eCommerce environments and managing cloud-based infrastructure such as Azure or AWS.
