What Makes This Role Special

Orlando Longwood Auto Auction is looking for a detail-oriented Mechanic Shop Clerk to be the heartbeat of our shop operations! You'll be the vital link connecting our mechanics, auction team, vendors, and customers—making sure every vehicle is auction-ready and every detail is handled flawlessly. Your Day-to-Day Adventures
- Process and generate work orders for vehicle repairs, maintenance, and reconditioning services
- Ordering parts and supplies as needed; tracking deliveries and ensuring timely availability
- Maintain accurate inventory records for shop supplies and commonly used parts
- Coordinate with vendors and parts suppliers to secure competitive pricing and expedited delivery
- Maintain comprehensive records of completed work and outstanding repair issues
- Assist with scheduling repair work to meet auction sale dates and deadlines
- Monitor shop workflow and coordinate vehicle movement between the auction lot and mechanic shop
- Ensure all completed work orders are properly documented and filed
- Maintain shop equipment, tools and work areas in excellent condition
- Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
What We're Looking For (The Must-Haves)
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- A minimum of 1-2 years of automotive mechanic experience. Also, prior administrative or office experience in the automotive, service or auction industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to adjust hours based on operational needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suit applications and other computer systems
- Bilingual in Spanish, a plus.
- Authorized to legally work in the United States
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, with Friday auction day support (weekends are yours!)
- Location: 2800 N US Highway 17-92, Longwood, FL 32750
- Environment: Indoor/outdoor work in a busy auction facility
