General Description of Duties and Responsibilities
The Revenue Cycle 1, will coordinate all Front Desk functions inclusive of making appointments, making call backs, gathering all demographic information, gathering third-party payment information, recording charges, answering incoming calls, and balancing all cash receipts.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensures that patients are greeted in courteous and professional manner
2. Ensures that all demographic and insurance information at each visit.
3. Ensures that the cash/credit card and check collections are reconciled daily
4. Ensures that all patient appointments are booked according to the process as outlined by ZOe Pediatrics.
5. Ensures that the appointment confirmation process is followed daily by staff
6. Ensures patient confidentiality and provides patients with needed information.
7. Ensures that patients in waiting room and reports any apparent illness or distress to clinical staff.
8. Ensures that a smooth patient flow and is mindful of the cycle times.
9. Ensures that the No-Show designation is maintain and updated for all patients.
10. Ensures that each patient family with a balance are made of balances prior to visits.
11. Ensures that the Self-Pay designation is accurate and that all self pay patients are reported to the Medicaid Specialist.
12. Ensures all scanning is up-to-date.
13. Maintains a clean and functional work space environment
Reporting Relationship
The Revenue Cycle Analyst 1 is supervised by, and is evaluated by the COO
Evaluation:
The evaluation of work performance will be ongoing and will include the specific duties and responsibilities of this description plus employee attitude and general working behavior. Formal evaluation will normally be performed on an annual basis.
Qualifications:
1. The ability to relate with effectiveness to the public, the patient, and the health care providers of ZOe Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Health.
2. The ability to effectively perform several duties that are part of the medical office activities.
3. The ability to be bonded for the handling of cash receipts.
4. Must be computer literate
5. Must understand Medical terminology
Status
This is a FLSA Non-exempt position.
This is an OSHA high risk position.
This is an ADA negotiable position.
