Part Time Custodian
Hours:
Wednesdays: 3pm - 9pm
Fridays: 3pm - 9pm
Sundays: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Additional hours for special events, etc.
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $18hr
Location: On site deep in Redondo Beach
Heads Up: This position is fully on-site at Temple Menorah, a religious organization. Candidates should be comfortable working in this environment.
The Part-time Custodian keeps the workplace clean, organized and disinfected. The Custodian sets up and supports Temple religious services, Tuvia Pre-school, Religious School classes, and Temple and rental events, and cleans at conclusion. Able to work independently. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Clean and maintain restrooms
• Washing and clean windows and mirrors
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Maintain outdoor grounds
• Remove debris from all areas
• Event set up: Sound system, tables, chairs, linens and more for events from 10-200+ people
• Beverage Set Up: Make coffee, set up tea and accompaniments, make lemonade, water + paper goods
• Buffet Set Up: prepare for caterers
• Rentals: Prepare room(s) and clean upon departure. Supervise while on the property.
• Maintain and report to Supervisor on cleaning inventory
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Perform minor repairs
• Monitor alarm and secure grounds upon departure
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment
• And other duties, as determined by Lead Custodian and senior staff
