Job DescriptionReal Estate Mid-Level Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded Am Law 100 firm in New York, New York.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 4–6 years of commercial real estate finance experience to join a nationally recognized real estate practice representing lenders in sophisticated financing transactions involving a broad range of commercial real estate assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent lenders in commercial real estate financing transactions.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related financing agreements.

  • Conduct title and survey review and perform comprehensive real estate due diligence.

  • Assist in structuring and managing complex financing transactions from inception through closing.

  • Coordinate with borrowers, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and opposing counsel throughout all stages of transactions.

  • Advise clients on financing structures, transaction risks, and commercial real estate matters.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

  • 4–6 years of commercial real estate finance experience.

  • Experience representing lenders in real estate financing transactions.

  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating loan documentation.

  • Experience conducting title and survey review and related due diligence.

  • Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $310,000–$390,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors.
