Job DescriptionReal Estate Mid-Level Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded Am Law 100 firm in New York, New York.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 4–6 years of commercial real estate finance experience to join a nationally recognized real estate practice representing lenders in sophisticated financing transactions involving a broad range of commercial real estate assets.
Key Responsibilities

Represent lenders in commercial real estate financing transactions.

Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related financing agreements.

Conduct title and survey review and perform comprehensive real estate due diligence.

Assist in structuring and managing complex financing transactions from inception through closing.

Coordinate with borrowers, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and opposing counsel throughout all stages of transactions.

Advise clients on financing structures, transaction risks, and commercial real estate matters.
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Active Bar membership in good standing.

4–6 years of commercial real estate finance experience.

Experience representing lenders in real estate financing transactions.

Strong experience drafting and negotiating loan documentation.

Experience conducting title and survey review and related due diligence.

Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.

Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $310,000–$390,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors.
