To continue strengthening our clients security posture, we are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, Cisco and other vendor solutions, and over 5 years of hands-on experience in engineering, SOC, or architecture roles.

This is a part-time, contract role offering flexibility and performance-based incentives.


What Youll Do

Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations

Design, implement, and manage advanced security controls across enterprise and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

Administer and troubleshoot firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet), IPS/IDS, and endpoint protection platforms.

Monitor and analyze SIEM logs (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) to detect, investigate, and mitigate threats.

Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation activities.

Lead PKI, IAM, MFA, and zero-trust initiatives.

Compliance, Policies, and Risk Management

Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and incident response procedures.

Provide expertise during audits and compliance checks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

Stay current with evolving threat landscapes and recommend proactive measures.

Customer & Partner Engagement

Support presales activities by engaging with clients, presenting security solutions, and tailoring proposals.

Contribute to RFP/RFI processes with technical responses, architectures, and compliance mappings.

Collaborate with vendors (Cisco, HPE Aruba, and others) on security programs, certifications, and product knowledge.


Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).

5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, SOC, or security architecture roles.

Expertise in Cisco technologies and familiarity with HPE Aruba and other networking/security solutions.

Strong knowledge of PKI, IAM, MFA, SSO, and cloud security frameworks (CIS, NIST, CSA).

Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, incident response, and forensics.


Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA (strongly preferred).

Vendor-specific certifications (Cisco CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Security).

Strong communication skills for client-facing engagements.

Ability to work independently and provide leadership on technical risk and security matters.
