Job Description\n
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving patient outcomes while demonstrating expertise in respiratory care practices.
Key Responsibilities\n

- Establish patient ventilator settings using advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships.
- Assess patients’ needs and deliver appropriate care in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans based on their condition and response to therapy.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system Meditech for accurate documentation and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions and treatments.

Qualifications\n
- \n
- Graduation from an AMA accredited school for Respiratory Care.
- Current New York State license.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification are required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of acid/base and electrolyte relationships and the implications of life-threatening situations.

Schedule\n
This position involves working day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, within a specified 100-mile radius. The contract duration is 8 weeks.
