Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining our advanced conveyor systems on-site. This position requires extensive travel and a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring all installations meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize cables with proper service loops.
- Navigate timecards, expense reports, and book travel using basic computer skills.
- Travel extensively, with potential assignments away from home for 60–90 days.
- Operate vehicles, requiring a valid driver's license and Real ID or passport.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain conveyor and electrical systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, interpreting documents such as proposals and blueprints.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in cable management and industrial cable management.
- Willingness to travel 90–100% of the time.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and mobile devices.
- Fluent in English, with an understanding of Spanish as a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Understanding of electrical systems and mechanical maintenance.
- Experience with conveyor installation and conveyance systems.
- Ability to use multi hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items of at least 50 lbs.
- Experience with operating forklifts and scissor lifts, adhering to OSHA standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Clinton, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
