This role supports the success of The Aster by driving membership growth while cultivating meaningful, trust-based relationships with current and prospective members. Working in close partnership with Club and Membership leadership, the position is responsible for membership acquisition, lead generation, and sales execution, while also playing an active role in member programming, onboarding, and ongoing engagement. As both a sales-focused contributor and a member experience ambassador, this role ensures a seamless, high-touch journey from first inquiry through long-term membership. Success is measured by achievement of defined sales and financial targets, as well as member satisfaction, engagement, and retention outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Membership Sales & Acquisition Responsibilities
· Partner with the Club Director and Membership & Wellness leadership to drive membership growth, acquisition, and retention in alignment with club goals.
· Support all aspects of membership sales operations, including sales tours, lead management, and monitoring the sales pipeline.
· Serve as the first point of contact for new member inquiries, ensuring response time standards are consistently met.
· Compile, track, and maintain membership leads, inquiries, and key data points with accuracy and confidentiality.
· Proactively generate new membership leads through networking, outreach, events, and relationship-building, consistently meeting monthly and quarterly sales goals.
· Conduct outbound outreach and cold calling, while also managing inbound calls and requests related to membership inquiries, account updates, and payment collection.
· Provide weekly sales reports, KPI updates, and sales initiatives to Membership Sales leadership.
· Participate in the development and execution of sales strategies and best practices, adhering to established sales processes.
· Perform required sales and membership administration, including processing applications, managing the membership inbox, updating member records, and maintaining membership materials.
Programming & Member Experience Responsibilities
· Assist in the development, execution, and ongoing management of member-led clubs and wellness programming, ensuring offerings remain relevant and competitive based on market trends and member feedback.
· Actively attend and support member and community programming events to strengthen relationships and enhance engagement.
· Oversee and coordinate New Member Orientations in partnership with Membership Sales and Club leadership.
· Participate in the member arrival and on-site experience, ensuring seamless, high-touch service that exceeds expectations.
· Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based member relationships by understanding individual preferences, backgrounds, and needs.
· Serve as a point of contact for existing member feedback and concerns, collaborating with the Membership Manager and Club Director to ensure timely resolution.
· Support long-range planning initiatives related to programming, wellness offerings, and overall member experience.
· Ensure all programming and member-facing initiatives are executed in accordance with established policies, including accounting, employee experience, and member experience standards.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum age of 21.
· Minimum of two years of experience in sales, membership, or a client-facing role.
· Demonstrated reliability with consistent, punctual attendance.
· Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent interpersonal, customer service and relationship building abilities.
· Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive and presentation capabilities.
· Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; able to quickly assess situations and identify effective solutions.
· Ability to remain composed under pressure while maintaining professionalism and objectivity.
· Attentive listener with the ability to synthesize complex information and address concerns effectively.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; comfortable working with basic financial data and arithmetic.
· Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Primarily indoor work environment with controlled temperatures.
· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, with duties varying based on business needs.
· Frequent movement throughout the property, including attending meetings and events.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
· Requires manual dexterity, repetitive motion, visual acuity, and effective verbal, listening, and hearing abilities.
$28/hr. + incentive
