A&P Mechanic | Ramp Works MX | Lakeland, FL (KLAL)

Ramp Works MX, the mobile maintenance division of Dobbs Flight Service, is seeking an FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our team in Lakeland, Florida. We provide on-site maintenance for general aviation owners, flight schools, and FBOs throughout Central Florida, built on a disciplined, manual-driven approach to airworthiness.

Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Perform 50-hour and 100-hour inspections and scheduled maintenance on Cessna and Piper single-engine aircraft
  • \n

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot discrepancies using manufacturer service manuals, fault isolation procedures, and task cards
  • \n

  • Complete repairs and squawk resolution on-site at customer hangars, tiedowns, and ramps, including AOG response
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including photo documentation, logbook entries, and return-to-service documentation
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to procedural, checklist-based work
  • \n

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • \n

  • Recent A&P graduates are encouraged to apply
  • \n

Compensation and Benefits

    \n
  • W-2 position, $27–30 per hour, plus a 12% profit share on external work
  • \n

  • Five days of paid time off after 90 days
