Intermediate / Project Architect | Multi-Family Residential


Client:

Our client is a Brooklyn-based architecture and real estate development firm specializing in small- to mid-size multi-family residential projects. They are a vertically integrated architecture and development practice, combining design, development, and asset management to deliver high-quality residential buildings across NYC. They are passionate about thoughtful design and believe strong design and financial performance go hand in hand.


Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an Intermediate / Project Architect (5–10 years experience) to support the design, coordination, and delivery of multi-family residential developments throughout NYC. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative, fast-paced environment, ideal for someone eager to take ownership and be involved in all phases of a project—from feasibility through construction administration.


Project Phases:

All phases (Feasibility through Construction Administration)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination of consultants, vendors, and contractors
  • Perform zoning and design feasibility studies
  • Prepare design documents and NYC DOB filing sets
  • Manage project approvals and filing processes
  • Oversee construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, and submittals
  • Collaborate closely with internal architecture and development teams


Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of professional experience (architecture / development)
  • Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, Zoning Regulations, and DOB processes ( NYC DOB experience required)
  • Experience coordinating with consulting engineers
  • Understanding of building envelope, waterproofing, and MEP systems
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Construction Administration experience
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Salary / Hourly:

80-110k, varies depending on experience level
