Job DescriptionEstate Legal AssistantOur client, a mid-size law firm in Burlington County, NJ, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Estates Department. This position will work closely with experienced Attorneys and provide support in estate administration. Responsibilities
- Maintain electronic and physical filing for estates and estate planning documents.
- Ongoing interaction with clients to obtain necessary information to properly administer estates.
- Ability to comprehend and analyze decedent’s will, trust and other relevant estate planning documents.
- Provide support for preparation of closings, including assisting in the supporting documents and communications with title companies and lending institutions.
- Create closing binders.
- Assist in organizing and reviewing documents and preparation of closings.
- Keep track of attorney time records, billing, and maintain attorney calendar and diaries.
- Prepare deeds.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of related Legal Assistant experience.
- Experience with MS Office, utilizing Excel, Word Templates, Styles and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and conscientious work ethic.
- Experience in legal document prep of trusts, wills, POA’s.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with TABS3 and Center Base preferred.
- Experience with iManage strongly preferred.
