Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warranty Clerk to manage warranty claims and ensure efficient processing and reimbursement. The Warranty Clerk will work closely with the service department to verify claims, maintain records, and communicate with manufacturers.

More about the role

  • Prepare, submit, and track warranty claims to manufacturers or vendors, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Verify and maintain accurate records of all warranty claims, including repair orders, invoices, and manufacturer correspondence.
  • Ensure that all warranty processes comply with manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies.
  • Liaise with service advisors, technicians, and manufacturers to gather necessary information and resolve any issues related to warranty claims.
  • Monitor the status of claims and follow up on outstanding reimbursements, ensuring timely payment from manufacturers.
  • Generate reports on warranty activity, including claim status, reimbursement trends, and potential issues, providing insights to management.
  • Assist customers with warranty inquiries, providing clear and accurate information about coverage and claim status.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline warranty processes and improve efficiency within the department.

What we look for

  • Previous experience as a Warranty Clerk or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing claims and maintaining records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with dealership management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve discrepancies and issues related to warranty claims.
