Akira Technologies is seeking a Data Enablement Analyst to support the Navy Office of Warfighting Advantage (OWA) and contribute to high-impact data initiatives that strengthen operational readiness and decision-making capabilities.
The Data Enablement Analyst will support OWA’s data engineering, analytics, and visualization efforts across multiple mission domains, including fleet readiness, resource optimization, infrastructure investment, and Sailor quality of service. This role requires strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate operational needs into scalable data solutions.
This is a hybrid position supporting OWA at the Pentagon or the Navy Yard, up to three (3) days a week. Ideal candidates should be local to the DC Metro Area. Also, this role requires a Secret clearance or higher.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, models, and analytics solutions using Python, SQL, and Databricks
- Perform statistical analysis and advanced analytics to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or MSS
- Integrate and model data from multiple government and enterprise systems
- Translate functional and mission requirements into technical solutions
- Support data automation, ETL processes, and architecture initiatives
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to conduct reviews and briefings
- Prepare and deliver concise, executive-level presentations and documentation
- Operate effectively in dynamic, mission-driven environments while managing multiple priorities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 0–5 years of relevant experience (aligned to Analyst IV/V levels)
- 2+ years of experience with Python and SQL
- 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, MSS, or similar)
- Experience with data engineering, data modeling, and ETL methodologies
- Understanding of data automation principles
- Experience working with government systems (e.g., ADVANA, SharePoint, BLADE, MSS, Palantir Foundry)
- Ability to support technical reviews and client engagements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or Navy organizations
- Familiarity with DoD data environments and governance frameworks
- Experience with Databricks, Trifacta, or similar platforms
- Background in data science, UX/UI design, or systems engineering
- Experience briefing senior military or government leadership
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous or evolving environments
Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
