The Data Analyst will report to the VP of Information Systems & Technology and work closely with the Data Governance Committee (DGC) to support data governance initiatives across the organization. This hybrid role will liaise with all departments to support data cataloging/mapping, business intelligence (BI) & analytics, and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Designed and executed data queries to support business user needs.
  • Work with data owners and department managers to develop data models and protocols for enterprise data mining.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of data management policies and procedures.
  • Identify research questions, analyze data, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Support the Data Governance Committees (DGC) initiatives, including data privacy, compliance, and AI governance.


Operational Management

  • Collaborate with application development staff to manage and optimize data queries.
  • Support and maintain data cataloging and mapping tools across all departments.
  • Develop and implement BI & analytics solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure quality assurance best practices for data analysis across the organization.
  • Create and maintain metadata inventories and standardized data definitions.
  • Work with AI initiatives to ensure data is used effectively and ethically.
  • Monitor and improve data management system performance and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and training to end-users on best practices for data management tools.
  • Collaborate with legal, data, and technology teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with global data regulations.


Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or data governance (preferred).


Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong understanding of data models, structures, theories, and governance principles.
  • Experience with data cataloging and mapping tools.
  • Proficiency in BI & analytics platforms such as Domo, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or Looker.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification, and forecasting.
  • Understanding of AI applications in data analytics and governance.
  • Experience working on inter-departmental projects and liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.).

Work Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment (mix of remote and in-office work as needed).
  • Ability to work occasional non-standard hours based on project needs.
  • Extended periods of sitting and use of computer equipment.


Compensation Range:
$80,000 to $90,000 per year
