Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician II is an experienced, mid-level maintenance professional responsible for completing work orders, preventative maintenance, and general repairs across Anderson Commercial Group’s managed properties. This role requires solid technical skills, strong organization, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with contractors and property management.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Complete work orders and repairs in a timely and professional manner
  • Diagnose maintenance issues and estimate time, materials, and scope of repairs
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems
  • Accurately document completed work, parts used, and follow-up needs

Property & Contractor Coordination

  • Maintain material and supply inventory and notify management of shortages
  • Oversee and coordinate work performed by outside vendors and contractors
  • Ensure contractor work meets company quality and safety standards
  • Perform effective after-hours emergency maintenance during scheduled on-call rotations (approximately one week every two months)

Safety & Professionalism

  • Perform all work in compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and safety procedures
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment
  • Communicate clearly with property managers, tenants, and team members

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or related fields
  • Working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and repair techniques
  • Ability to manage physical workload, including lifting, bending, and climbing
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated

Physical & Technical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as required
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver’s license required
