Job Description

Job Description

Kunai builds full-stack technology solutions for banks, credit and payment networks, infrastructure providers, and their customers. Together, we are changing the world's relationship with financial services. At Kunai, we help our clients modernize, capitalize on emerging trends, and evolve their business for the coming decades by remaining tech-agnostic and human-centered.

We are seeking a technically savvy Technical Project Manager to join our team and lead delivery for high visibility client projects. You will serve as the central coordination point across 5+ technology teams, ensuring alignment, visibility, and measurable progress. The initial project requires strong Jira governance, reporting automation, and cross-functional technical coordination.

This role is ideal for someone who understands distributed systems, AWS services, APIs, and software architecture diagrams, but prefers driving outcomes over writing production code. Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills are critical to success.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate technical execution across multiple engineering technology teams, keeping deliverables on track and risks visible
  • Clean up and standardize Jira workflows, manage boards, create advanced filters, and build executive dashboards
  • Develop structured reporting in documents to communicate progress, dependencies, and outcomes to senior stakeholders
  • Interpret software architecture diagrams and understand distributed system design to effectively translate technical work into business value
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base content to improve transparency and team efficiency
  • Measure delivery outcomes using data-driven analysis and clear performance metrics

What You Bring

  • Experience working within technology-driven environments, ideally supporting enterprise technology programs
  • Strong Jira management skills including dashboards, filters, backlog cleanup, and reporting
  • Working knowledge of AWS services and familiarity with APIs and distributed system design concepts
  • Ability to read and interpret software architecture diagrams
  • Strong project management discipline with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
  • Ability to coordinate across 5 to 10 teams simultaneously while maintaining clarity and accountability
  • Comfort presenting insights and reporting to senior leadership
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure outcomes and quantify progress
  • Prior consulting experience working with large financial or enterprise clients

Our success over the past 20 years is rooted in our exceptional team, which thrives in a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.

We are proud to offer our employees a range of benefits, including competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements, all designed to help them thrive. As we continue to expand, we remain committed to cultivating an environment where people feel valued, have a voice, and are given the tools to grow—both personally and professionally—while pushing the boundaries of innovation in the fintech industry.

Minimum Degree Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree, in lieu of a degree, demonstrating in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college is required
