Position Title: M365 System Engineer Architect
Position Overview:
S2Technologies is actively seeking a M365 System Engineer Architect to maintain and update the overall engineering and architecture for an existing Microsoft 365 Cloud Environment within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This will include planning for incorporation of new services in the future and maintain an optimal performing secure environment and platform. We provide support for integration, management, security, and optimization of key services including Power Platform, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, AvePoint Online Services, Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft Copilot. The support includes configuration management and troubleshooting of these MS365 platforms to provide optimal functionality and user experience. Support and maintain the overall performance of the environments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural consulting for development and optimization of the M365 Cloud Suite
- Assist with developing Power Platform environments, performance monitoring, and technical support
- Support, configure, and maintain backup solutions for OneDrive and M365
- Ensure reference materials, QA documentation, and process plans are up to date
- Assist in Proofs of Concept and pilot testing, technical documentation and reporting
- Provide technical expertise and consultation across development/support activities
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting Microsoft 365 (M365) Cloud Based Suite in a large corporate/government environment
- Proven expertise in developing and supporting M365 architecture
- Experience optimizing data models, tenant configuration, and performance/resource utilization
- Experience with migrations, security, and governance of M365
- Extensive SharePoint experience
Technical Skills:
- Power Platform, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Teams
- Experience with PowerShell, .NET, and Dataverse
- Ability to support, configure, and troubleshoot integrated cloud environments
Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative consulting across teams
Required Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required; however, it is not mandatory at the time of hire.
Education: Minimum requirement: high school diploma. Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $110,000 to $220,000
Location: Remote / Primarily remote (on-site as needed)
