POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Engineering Technician – Municipal Engineer is a mid-level position with 3-5 years of experience. This individual will provide engineering services on all phases of an assigned project under the supervision of the Project Manager
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Contribute to and oversee civil/site design for a wide variety of projects, including parks, municipal infrastructure, athletic facilities, schools, higher education campuses, and industrial/commercial developments.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support municipal stormwater management, roadway improvements, and drainage system upgrades.
- Conduct utility coordination and support the preparation of construction documents for W/WW infrastructure.

Assist with assigned municipal project tasks to ensure successful delivery within established scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Work both independently and as part of a municipal project team, using sound judgment and technical expertise with limited supervision.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in AutoCAD® Civil 3d computer aided design software
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of software including, but not limited to Word Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks on schedule and within budget
- Excellent time management skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering Preferred) from an accredited four-year college or university
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Engineering-in-Training (EIT) required, working toward PE Licensure
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of a Construction Observer, the employee typically works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Computer/technology is required to document and report work performed. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $70,000 - $91,500. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.
Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
