We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Supervisor at our Assembly and Distribution Center in Union, OH. The Supervisor - Cable Systems is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily cable cutting operations while actively working alongside the team. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Cable Supervisor ensures safety, quality, and production goals are consistently met while coordinating with multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly.
This is a working supervisor role. You will spend a significant portion of your day operating equipment and supporting shipping and receiving, in addition to managing schedules, priorities, and team performance.
Location: Union, OH
Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000
Excellent benefits including bonus and 401K match
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with cable systems or a related field.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a production environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Outlook) for communication, reporting, and shift handovers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and work alongside cable cutting personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
- Train, coach, and motivate team members to meet performance and productivity goals.
- Manage daily schedules, workflow, and production priorities.
- Inspect work and processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cable cutting machines, tools, and related equipment.
- Serve as the first line of support for production technology, including troubleshooting printer issues, tablet resets, and minor connectivity problems.
- Identify root causes of equipment or process issues and resolve problems quickly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records, material usage, and issue tracking.
- Collaborate with programmers, shipping, receiving, purchasing, and quality teams to support smooth operations.
