Job Description
Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a regional healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled IT Contract Specialist for a 5-month contract. This role is responsible for supporting IT contract development, managing vendor negotiations, and ensuring alignment with internal compliance standards. This individual will play a key role in reviewing contracts tied to enterprise applications and mapping contract terms to business needs. The position is primarily remote but will require occasional time in office in Rochester Hills, MI.
Job Duties:
- Manage and support the development, renewal, and maintenance of IT contracts
- Track contract actions, deadlines, and renewal cycles to ensure timely execution
- Collaborate with legal, IT leadership, and business stakeholders during contract drafting and negotiation
- Draft and refine contract standards, KPIs, SLAs, and IT-specific language
- Analyze and negotiate contracts for compliance with organizational policies and risk standards
- Serve as primary point of contact with suppliers during contract discussions
- Generate and present reports on contract activity, metrics, and compliance
- Guide and support junior contract team members on procedures and best practices
Skills & Experience:
Required:
- 2–3 years of IT or vendor contract experience including negotiation and review
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management
- Understanding of technical acronyms
- Proficiency with standard contract terms, SLAs, KPIs, and legal/compliance frameworks
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts concurrently
Desired:
- 2+ years of experience in contracts management
- Experience working with IT contracts specifically (software, services, support agreements)
- Exposure to healthcare or clinical IT environments
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools
