Description\n
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT CT certification and at least 1 year of CT experience for a 12-hour night shift assignment.

- Hospital-based Radiology CT department with 2 rooms featuring Philips CT scanners
- Trauma Level 3 facility
- Patient population includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies for ages 0-100
- Unit performs approximately 40 CTs per 24-hour period
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Schedule follows 3 consecutive shifts, 1 day off, 3 consecutive shifts, then 6 days off rotation
- Minimum every other weekend required, with schedule adjustments as needed for unit and patient care
- Call and holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Floating and charge responsibilities not required
- Respiratory and anesthesia support available 24/7
- EPIC used for documentation and PyXIS for medication

Requirements\n

- ARRT CT certification required
- NY state license required if applicable, or proof of pending application with applied date
- NY DOH venipuncture certification required or willingness to obtain during orientation
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of CT specialty experience required
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required due to lack of public transportation in the area

- Technologist will perform venipuncture and injections as part of unit-specific procedures
- Must work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Day/Eve
- Scrub color is gray with closed-toe shoes required
- Hair and facial hair must be properly secured and allow for proper respirator fit
- 14 days of orientation provided
- No block schedules permitted
- Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- Accepts local candidates within 50 miles at local rate, with radius rate available for 50-100 miles
