Management of the Florida West Coast Chapter of the NTMA
The National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) is a US-based membership trade association with the collective power of 1100 thriving tool die and precision manufacturing companies. NTMA’s mission is to help members of the U.S. precision custom manufacturing industry achieve profitable growth and business success in a global economy through education, technology, networking, programs, and services. The Florida West Coast Chapter of the NTMA currently has a dozen regular members, plus local associate members, and serves Pinellas, Hillsborough, Sarasota, Pasco, and Manatee Counties.
We are looking for a chapter administrator for the Florida West Coast Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA)
The position is a Part-Time contractor (1099)
Compensation $800-$1200 monthly - estimated to be an average of 40 Hours per month
Position Summary:
Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure that the mission, goals and objectives of the Chapter are achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In collaboration with, and under the general vision set forth by the board of directors, provides hands-on management of all areas of the Chapter including membership value and development, board recruitment and development, finance and accounting, internal and external communication, coordination and communication with National NTMA, planning and facilitating all board and membership meetings, technology, and public relations. Regular visits with members and prospects are a priority. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors. This is a 1099 position that is paid monthly with approximately 40 hours of work per month anticipated on average with some months being busier than others. This will increase as the chapter grows and engagement increases. The ideal candidate must be a proven self-starter willing to take responsibility of growing and servicing our chapter under the guidance of Chapter leadership. The successful candidate will also be able to take direction, be innovative, be interested in making suggestions to improve programs, and be creative in promoting membership and engagement.
Primary Duties:
- Arrange, organize, and actively participate in Board of Director Meetings
- Arrange, organize, promote, and actively participate in Membership Meetings and Chapter activities
- Accounting and financial management in coordination with the Treasurer
- Maintain website, social media, email, and other technology
- Drive membership growth and engagement
- Recruit and engage Associate Members
- Coordinate with National NTMA
- Communicate/promote National NTMA information and activities to the Board of Directors and
Membership
- Chapter administration (check mail, provide timely and professional customer service, coordinate with Board of Directors, prepare and distribute meeting minutes, etc.)
- Solicit content and create and distribute monthly newsletter
- Assist in training of new Board Members and maintaining Governance standards
Duties and Responsibilities
- General Administration - Receive Mail, Email, Phone Calls, and Faxes, for the Chapter. Respond in a timely fashion to requests and/or forward them to the appropriate board member.
- Meetings - Arrange, organize, and participate at board and chapter meetings.

Daily Management - Handle all functions included in the daily operation of the Association, including, but not limited to: Act as the liaison between the Chapter and National NTMA.

Correspond with members, associate members and National NTMA.

Assist in the orientation of new Board Members.

Serve as the clearinghouse for all Chapter and NTMA resource materials.

Act as the custodian of Chapter records.

- Membership - Coordinate and maintain all lists of members, Associate members and non-members. Alert the Board of any potential changes as soon as you know about it.

Financial Management - Maintain close liaison with Chapter Treasurer.

Publications/Communications - Prepare Quarterly Chapter Newsletter and distribute.

Reimbursement - Submit an itemized expense report with receipts the first of each month for payment of expenses dispensed on the behalf of the Chapter. Reimbursable expenses will include, but not be limited to, postage, copies, supplies (labels, name tags, etc.), express delivery charges, transportation to out-of-town meetings including airfare and car rental (if applicable), lodging and on-site meals for meetings when travel is required.

- Manufacturing knowledge - Preferred
- Must be in the Tampa Bay area and be able to attend meetings in person.
