Location: FCC HQ, Washington, DC (Hybrid Onsite + Remote as directed)

Role Summary:
The Cybersecurity Architect / Engineer provides technical support to FCC’s cybersecurity infrastructure. This includes the integration and operation of security tools, cloud/on-premises security architecture, and engineering of enterprise cyber capabilities to meet the agency’s CSPP and continuous monitoring strategy.

Cybersecurity Architecture, Engineering, O&M:

Provide cybersecurity platform/infrastructure operations and maintenance
Engineer and maintain tools supporting endpoint protection, monitoring, and defense
Support Change and Release Management of cybersecurity platforms
Ensure patching, configuration management, and vulnerability mitigation
Contribute to COOP and cyber continuity planning

Qualifications:

Strong background in cybersecurity engineering or architecture for federal systems
Experience with endpoint security, cloud modernization, and NIST-aligned configurations
Capable of documenting and maintaining secure baselines across systems

Certifications such as:
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – most preferred
CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
GIAC certifications (e.g., GSEC, GDSA)
