Position Overview
A leading legal team is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to a group of attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is essential to delivering quality legal services and requires someone proactive, highly organized, and able to manage complex tasks accurately and professionally.
The Legal Assistant will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including legal document preparation, calendar coordination, client communication, and transactional support. This is a fully onsite role, offering strong compensation for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant will support attorneys through a blend of administrative and legal-focused duties, including:
- Preparing, editing, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, loan agreements, security documents, and due diligence materials
- Managing attorney calendars, scheduling, client billing, processing new matters, organizing mail/faxes, and maintaining updated contact information
- Organizing and maintaining files, databases, and client correspondence with a strong commitment to confidentiality
- Anticipating attorney needs and providing transactional support, including management of closing checklists and conducting due diligence
- Communicating professionally with clients, coordinating with internal departments, and interacting with government agencies
- Serving as a Notary Public when applicable
- Performing additional administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must bring:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant
- Experience in banking and financial services strongly preferred
- Additional experience in fintech, national security, or artificial intelligence is a plus
- Knowledge of legal terminology, legal processes, and legal documents
- Understanding of federal and state banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, deal structuring, and operational processes
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, e-filing systems, document management systems, and database software
- NetDocs experience strongly preferred
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology
- Exceptional organization, accuracy, and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and remain proactive
- Excellent client service skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and resilience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfort with occasional physical activity as needed

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
