We are looking for an accomplished Director of Operations to serve in the Louisville, KY market, to help shape the next chapter of our growing dermatology organization. This is more than an operational leadership role—it is an opportunity to influence culture, develop leaders, elevate the patient experience, and create the operational foundation needed to support sustainable growth.

The Director of Operations will lead and align operations across multiple clinics, working collaboratively with physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative teams to drive performance and operational excellence. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of healthcare operations, a passion for developing people, and the ability to turn strategy into meaningful, measurable results.

We are seeking a leader who is accountable, collaborative, and solutions-oriented—someone who can see both the big picture and the details that matter. Our ideal candidate understands that exceptional operations begin with exceptional people and that when teams are supported, empowered, and aligned, patients receive a better experience.

Yearly Salary $130,000-$150,000

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

Operations & Financial Acumen

  • Ensure consistent execution of operational policies, procedures, and best practices across all locations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead initiatives focused on workflow optimization, patient access, and service excellence.
  • Manage regional operating budgets and financial performance.
  • Analyze revenue cycle performance, productivity metrics, and expense management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining exceptional patient care.
  • Monitor provider productivity and operational drivers impacting financial outcomes.

People Leadership

  • Build strong relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Support providers by addressing operational challenges and resource needs.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing practice leaders and operational staff.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and patient-centered service.
  • Support leadership development across the region.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure delivery of exceptional patient care and customer service.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction scores and implement improvement plans when necessary.
  • Address patient concerns and escalated service issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and applicable accreditation standards.
  • Support risk management initiatives and regulatory audits.

Growth & Development

  • Support practice acquisitions, integrations, and expansion projects, including market assessments & business development
  • Lead operational implementation of new service lines, providers, or locations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
  • Support provider recruiting and onboarding within region locations
  • Partner with finance teams to prepare forecasts, budgets, and business plans.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field
  • 7+ years of multi-site healthcare operations leadership experience
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience overseeing managers and practice leadership teams
  • Knowledge of the medical environment, physician group practice, managed care, physician compensation, healthcare contracting and regulations and financial and operating systems
  • Solid strategic thinker, with a strong operational focus, good judgment, and detail-oriented perspective

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20” or less) and far (20’ or more) and to identify and distinguish colors
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry
