Job Description Senior Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Seattle, WA
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Pay: $90,000-$100,000 + bonus
LHH is working with a nationally respected law firm who seeks an experienced Senior Legal Assistant to support a busy civil defense and insurance coverage litigation practice. This role requires strong knowledge of state and federal court filings , court rules, and experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to litigation and trial attorneys
- Prepare, proofread, format, and revise complex legal documents and pleadings, including tables of contents and authorities
- File pleadings with state and federal courts , including electronic filing systems
- Maintain attorney calendars, including hearings, briefing schedules, discovery deadlines, depositions, and meetings
- Assist with trial preparation and provide on-site trial support as needed
- Support paralegals with case file organization and records management
- Coordinate travel arrangements and process attorney expense reports
- Handle billing, correspondence, invoices, and client reporting
- Maintain confidentiality while working with internal teams and external professionals
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience as a litigation or trial legal assistant/secretary in WA State
- Demonstrated experience with state and federal court filings and e-filing systems
- Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and filing deadlines
- Exceptional proofreading, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with iManage or FileSite preferred
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused
