Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | Long termJob SummaryOur client, a leading manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions, is seeking a Mechanically Inclined Machine Operator in Somerset, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing equipment, performing machine setups, and troubleshooting mechanical issues to maintain efficient production.Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery.
• Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor product quality and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report equipment issues to the maintenance team as needed.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with material handling and production support as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with machine setup and changeovers.
• Ability to read work instructions and use measuring tools.
• Basic math and documentation skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.
• Comfortable working around production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
