About Junevity:
Junevity is a biotech company pioneering siRNA for transcription factors to reset cell health. The Junevity RESET Platform is the first to use human genomic data, AI/ML, and siRNA to unlock transcription factor targets. The company's lead programs are in Diabetes and Obesity, with preclinical programs in CNS, Osteoarthritis, and Sarcopenia. Based on nearly a decade of foundational research, Junevity’s mission is to extend human lifespan and healthspan.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a full-time Bioinformatics Data Scientist to advance the RESET Platform for discovering new therapeutic targets for resetting cell health. You will contribute to progress on new therapies for improving human healthspan and lifespan. The company has an experienced management team, strong investors and runway, and a robust drug development pipeline. Reporting to the Co-founder & COO, you will have the opportunity for fast growth and to build a company from the early days.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data scientist on RESET Platform focused on genetic linkages to disease
- Develop novel computational pipelines for large-scale human datasets to predict promising drug targets for longevity-related diseases
- Identify and evaluate new hypotheses, datasets, and algorithms
- Write code and contribute to the RESET workflows
- Collaborate with the lead software engineer and the Early Discovery team
Skills:
- Ph.D. in bioinformatics, genetics, computational biology, or similar
- Proven ability to develop new computational pipelines for large-scale human genetic and/or omics datasets and discover novel insights
- Experience with bioinformatics data science pipelines and large-scale human datasets, including biobanks, genetics, GWAS, eQTL, RNA-seq, proteomics, ChIP-seq, etc
- Experience with machine learning and ideally deep learning pipelines
- Strong coding skills
