RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
\n• Level 3 or 4 NICU experience required
\n• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
\n• Previous travel experience preferred
\n• Manager interview required
\n• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting (two attempts allowed, 80% passing score)
\n• Complete mandatory Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion
\n• Patient ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:3 Level 2
\n• Work in 71-bed Level 4 NICU (17 stepdown beds)
\n• Every 3rd weekend requirement
\n• Work 3 of 6 major holidays
\n• 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Cardiac STABLE plus
\n• Navy scrub color required
\n• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
\n• May float to Mother Baby, Labor Care (babies only)
\n• 2-3 days floor-specific orientation
\n• Care for premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical patients, ECMO and cooling cases
\n• 50-mile radius rule enforced
\n• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

The unit maintains high standards with rigorous competency requirements and offers both intensive care and stepdown services for diverse neonatal conditions.
