Job Description

Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Seeking a full-time medical receptionist for a busy, fast-paced dermatology and Mohs surgical practice. Multiple offices in surrounding areas – Trussville, Gadsden, Pell City, and Oxford.

Ideal candidate is customer service focused, dependable, organized, and efficient. Able to multitask with the ability to stay focused. Medical front office, insurance, and billing experience preferred, but not required.

Main position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Provide a warm and welcoming first impression in person and over the phone to all patients and visitors
Use the computer to check in and check out patients. Obtain, verify, and update any demographic or insurance information from all patients
Answer all phone calls, check voice mail, and return patient calls or distribute message to physician for instruction
Collect copays and balances due
Schedule appointments within the clinic
Schedule appointments for new and established patients
Maintain work area keeping it organized and professional in appearance
Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
Communicates effectively between the patients and the clinical staff
Helps with the flow of patients into the clinic
Possesses excellent filing skills
Must multi-task, be flexible, and show initiative
Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work load

Hours are Monday — Thurs 7:30a-4:30p, with a half day on Friday. Competitive benefits available.

Position offers health, dental, vision and other supplement benefits as well as 401K and PTO.

Job Type: Full-time – Mon-Th 7:30a-4:30p / Fri 8a-12p

Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour (based on experience)
