Position: Supply Chain/ Finance Data Analyst
Location: Valley Green, PA
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Supply Chain/ Finance Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analysis on large datasets. The position will work closely with different teams to help make data-driven decisions, identify trends, and drive business improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of data manipulation and visualization, as well as the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that can guide business decisions.
- Data Visualization: Create clear and visually appealing reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports for internal teams and management.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, operations, etc.) to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to analyze and interpret data sets, using tools such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing.
- Automation: Develop and automate data processes to ensure data accuracy and streamline reporting efforts.
- Troubleshooting: Identify data quality issues and help resolve them through ongoing monitoring and collaboration with other teams.
- Master Data Management: Create, update, and maintain master data records in the ERP system, including, but not limited to customers, vendors, material, BOMs, etc. Ensure appropriate processes are in place to validate data before changes are entered into the ERP system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role (1-3 years)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, R, Python, or similar
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and their practical applications in business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams
- Well-developed organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills, and solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience in data warehousing and data pipeline development
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Fluent in Mandarin
