Manhattan Fitness Club is looking for Front Desk Associate for immediate hire. Candidates need to have previous experience:
- Prior experience in a reception, office manager, or customer service role preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills and an outgoing personality
Qualifications and personal characteristics:
- Customer service experience is a must
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle difficult clients and challenging situations
- Being reliable and a team player
- Sales experience is a plus
As a Front Desk Associate youll be accountable for opening or closing of the gym together with the rest of team and serving the residents/members.
Your job:
- Promote the Complete Body mission through appropriate appearance, words and actions.
- Greet and acknowledge every resident who enters and exits the club.
- Follow all Front Desk policy and procedures based on company standards and building requirements.
- Be aware of all club issues, events or schedule changes and politely communicate them to club members/residents and ensure coworkers are made aware of general status and all unresolved issues.
- Answer telephone on first ring in a friendly, professional way, using the standard greeting, answering all questions efficiently or directing them to appropriate person.
- Ensure the front desk is neat, with materials stored properly.
- Be able to locate the First Aid Kit/AED and staff members in the club who are AED/CPR certified.
- Fill out daily shift reports and communication logs.
- Maintain and organize work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet all club needs.
Successful Front Desk Associate qualifications:
- Proven success in customer service field
- Fitness background is a plus
- Impressive communication and problem-solving skills
